Vieira wins TUF Brazil 4 bantamweight title with victory over Lopes
Defense? What is this defense you speak of?
It's as if Dileno Lopes and Reginaldo Vieira mutually agreed to eschew defense and trade winging hooks and guillotine chokes.
Like pair of PCP-fueled Tasmanian devils, Lopes and Vieira hurled wild combinations at each other in the first round, trading heavy shots and guillotine chokes in an insane five minutes of action.
Likely gassed by the sheer pace of the opening round, both men slowed considerably, though Lopes, sporting blood around both eyes, landed some rib-roasting body kicks.
Two minutes into the third stanza, Lopes got the takedown and worked for a guillotine choke, but Vieira eventually wormed his way free and uncorked some heavy hammerfists and punches from Lopes' guard while Lopes returned fire from his back.
Ultimately, Vieira emerged victorious, claiming the TUF Brazil 4 bantamweight championship.
I'd say the scoring was weird, but judges love to give rounds to the guy coming forward whether he's landing or not. #UFC190
