Report: Cowboys fining Jeremy Mincey $30K per day for camp absence
Andrew Weber / USA TODAY Sports
The Dallas Cowboys will fine defensive end Jeremy Mincey $30,000 per day as long as he remains absent from training camp, according to Brandon George of The Dallas Morning News.
Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones say the team has already fined Mincey $60,000 after two days of camp. It does not appear anything will change until the veteran defensive end reports.
Mincey, slated to make $1.5 million this season, is looking for a new contract after posting six sacks in 2014, the second-highest total of his career. He'll be competing with Greg Hardy, rookie Randy Gregory and Demarcus Lawrence for snaps.
