McGregor wouldn't want to clinch with Rousey: 'She would throw me on my head in literally one second flat'

With former (or tarnished) box-office juggernauts like Brock Lesnar, Georges St-Pierre, and Anderson Silva slowly fading into the background, the UFC is out there creating superstars out of an impossibly brash Irishman and the most dangerous woman in the world.

Conor McGregor and Ronda Rousey are quickly becoming the two brightest stars in the UFC's constellation, and for good reason. They both have the innate ability to mix slick promotional work on the mic with otherworldly skill inside the cage, a balance that few have been able to accomplish.

"She is a special individual," McGregor told SI NOW of Rousey. "She is unbelievable ... she has created the women's game."

McGregor wouldn't answer whether or not he was a pound-for-pound better fighter than the Olympic Judoka, but did admit that he'd never want to get stuck inside Rousey's clinch.

"I certainly would not like to end up in a tie-up with Ms. Rousey," McGregor said. "I remember one time, I'd seen her and I greeted her and I said, 'what's up champ?' and we embraced. I swear on my life her back muscles were the solidest (sic) back muscles I'd ever felt in my life.

"I thought if this lady was to get a hold of me she would throw me on my head in literally one second flat. So I would not like to engage in a clinch fight with Ronda."
