Report: Cowboys' Jeremy Mincey won't attend camp after failing to reach extension
Andrew Weber / USA TODAY Sports
When the Dallas Cowboys open training camp this week, Jeremy Mincey likely won't be there.
The defensive end will not report after he and the Cowboys failed to reach a new deal this offseason, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Mincey is the league's 70th-highest-paid defensive end, according to Schefter, and is slated to make $1.5 million this season. The 31-year-old could be trying to capitalize on a decent 2014, in which he led Dallas with six sacks.
It could be a good time for Mincey to try and force the Cowboys' hand. Six sacks isn't anything to brag about, but the team isn't stocked with pass-rushers, and Greg Hardy is suspended for the first four games.
