Novak Djokovic continues to build his persona as a world-class individual and athlete.

As the 2015 Special Olympics World Games opening ceremonies kicked off Saturday night, Andy Roddick praised the world No. 1 tennis player for donating three million Serbian Dinard (just over U.S. $27,000) to Serbian athletes with disabilities to fund their trip to Los Angeles, Calif., to compete in the games.

The Serbian government also supplied 12.5 million Serbian Dinards.

The donations allowed 109 Serbian athletes to contend, with events beginning Sunday and running until Aug. 4. The city of Los Angeles will host 7,500 total athletes spanning from 170 different countries.

The tennis superstar continues fulfilling his own dreams on the court, while doing the same for his compatriots off it.
