Tate dominates Eye in UFC on FOX 16 co-main event
Miesha Tate is tough as nails.
Despite being picked apart on the feet by Jessica Eye for long stretches of their bout at UFC on FOX 16, Tate waltzed through the fire and landed bombs, dropping Eye multiple times with chin-seeking missiles, completely changing the complexion of the fight with her superior power and control on the mat.
Likely up 2-0 heading into the third round, Tate played it a little safer in the final five minutes, eventually snagging a takedown and securing Eye's back before Yves Lavigne stood the fight up for essentially no reason other than to appease a restless crowd.
What a bullshit stand-up. Unbelievable and totally unforgivable.

Ultimately, the idiotic standup didn't affect the outcome, and Tate will likely get another shot at UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey at some point in the future.
