Luc Richard Mbah a Moute failed his physical with the Sacramento Kings because of a shoulder injury, according to Cowbell Kingdom's Rui Thomas.
As a result, last week the Kings voided the free-agent contract the 28-year-old forward had signed with the team.
However, the Kings reportedly remain interested in signing him if he can get healthy.
Mbah a Moute played nine games for the Kings in 2013-14 before being traded to the Philadelphia 76ers. He missed time at the end of last season in part due to a shoulder injury. The Cameroon native by way of UCLA averaged a career-high 9.9 points in 67 games.
A good defender, his scoring numbers were likely inflated based on playing for Philadelphia. However, assuming he's healthy, he remains a quality addition to any team's bench. The voided contract with the Kings was a reported one-year deal.
