Nashville Predators forward Craig Smith is reportedly asking for $4.75 million per year, while the team is offering only $3 million, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reports.
Smith made $2 million last season. He has an arbitration hearing scheduled for Monday if the two sides are unable to come to an agreement before then.
The restricted free agent scored 23 goals and added 21 assists while playing all 82 games for Nashville in 2014-15.
Smith, a 25-year-old center, was a fourth-round pick of the Predators in 2009.
