Robin Lopez puts 'Muggle' brother Brook in his place on possible shared accommodation

One of the tongue-in-cheek scouting reports about Brook and Robin Lopez way back when they were at Stanford was they were something akin to a taller, basketball version of hockey's fictional Hanson Brothers – which could now even include the violence when you factor in Robin's war against NBA mascots.

Brook has played sort of a straight man over the years to Robin, as the latter sketches Ingrid Bergman and fills out questionnaires as if it were 1928. But now, New York City is in for some tomfoolery with both Lopez Brothers in town. Brooklyn Nets center Brook commented Thursday on Robin's signing with the New York Knicks, telling reporters which bro is still in charge in Gotham.

"As far as Robin’s concerned, he'll always be the back end of Batman," Brook said. "That sums that up pretty much."

He later suggested that the only way Robin could stay at his house is in a Harry Potter-style arrangement.

"I'm thinking something like the basement or a little cupboard under the stairs a la Harry Potter," Lopez told YES Network. "We don't want him to be too comfortable."

On Friday, Robin's response when he was introduced to New York media wasn't disappointing.

They've already got a Disney show, but let the good times roll, NYC. It's going to be like a modern-day "Home Alone 2" with these guys loose.
