theScore gathered a group of its editors - Gino Bottero, Justin Cuthbert, Mike Dickson, George Halim, Caitlyn Holroyd, William Lou, Blake Murphy, Arun Srinivasan, Dan Wilkins, and Marco Vigliotti - for a 10-team college fantasy football mock draft. Below are the results, and some of the thinking behind the picks.

Round 1

Pick By Player
1 Murphy Nick Chubb (RB) UGA
2 Srinivasan James Conner (RB) PITT
3 Bottero Trevone Boykin (QB) TCU
4 Cuthbert Keevan Lucas (WR) TULSA
5 Dickson Kenneth Dixon (RB) LTECH
6 Holroyd Ezekiel Elliott (RB) OSU
7 Lou Brandon Doughty (QB) WKU
8 Wilkins Dak Prescott (QB) MSST
9 Vigliotti J.T. Barrett (QB) OSU
10 Halim Cody Kessler (QB) USC

If Pat Narduzzi is willing to pound the pigskin with James Conner the way Paul Chryst was, Conner has a chance to put up Heisman-caliber numbers. ... TCU is going to be motivated after its playoff snub a year ago, and that's going to mean running up the score on lesser opponents. Trevone Boykin is the safest option on the board this year. ... Keevan Lucas caught 101 balls last season, averaging better than 100 receiving yards per contest. He now gets to work with former Baylor offensive coordinator Philip Montgomery. ... Over the final three games of last season, Ezekiel Elliott ran for 696 yards and eight touchdowns.

Murphy's Take: In a 10-team league, assuming a few people would follow suit and grab an RB early, I was fairly confident one of the top quarterbacks would still be around at pick No. 20. Nick Chubb averaged 7.1 yards per carry as a freshman, and the Georgia offense should produce plenty of touchdown opportunities.

Vigliotti's Take: Whoever wins Ohio State's convoluted quarterback competition is poised for a monster fantasy season. J.T. Barrett rolls into training camp as the favorite for the job, and with good reason. As a redshirt freshman in 2014, he threw for 34 touchdowns and ran for 11 more.

Round 2

Pick By Player
1 Halim Samaje Perine (RB) OU
2 Vigliotti Corey Clement (RB) WISC
3 Wilkins Tyler Boyd (WR) PITT
4 Lou Leon Allen (RB) WKU
5 Holroyd Devontae Booker (RB) UTAH
6 Dickson Devon Johnson (RB) MARSH
7 Cuthbert Josh Doctson (WR) TCU
8 Bottero Rashard Higgins (WR) CSU
9 Srinivasan Leonard Fournette (RB) LSU
10 Murphy Fredi Knighten (QB) ARKST

Samaje Perine ran for 1,713 yards and 21 touchdowns as a freshman, including 925 yards and 10 touchdowns over the final four games of the season. ... Being top dog in Wisconsin's backfield worked out well for Melvin Gordon. Now it's Corey Clement's turn. ... Devontae Booker eschewed the NFL to return to Utah for another year. He has a legitimate shot at accumulating 2,000 scrimmage yards. ... Rashard Higgins will be working with some new faces at Colorado State, but he had 10 games of 100-plus receiving yards in 12 contests as a sophomore. He'll be fine.

Srinivasan's Take: Leonard Fournette arrived in Baton Rouge as the most highly touted running-back prospect since Adrian Peterson, and appears ready to deliver on that hype entering his sophomore campaign. Offensive coordinator Cam Cameron called Fournette the most improved player on the LSU offense. If he contends for the Heisman Trophy, as many expect him to, he'll be a steal as a second-round pick.

Round 3

Pick By Player
1 Murphy Elijah McGuire (RB) ULL
2 Srinivasan Christian Hackenberg (QB) PSU
3 Bottero Kareem Hunt (RB) TOL
4 Cuthbert Seth Russell (QB) BAY
5 Dickson Corey Davis (WR) WMU
6 Holroyd Deshaun Watson (QB) CLEM
7 Lou Nelson Spruce (WR) COL
8 Wilkins D'haquille Williams (WR) AUB
9 Vigliotti Corey Coleman (WR) BAY
10 Halim K.D. Cannon (WR) BAY

NFL potential doesn't always translate to fantasy points. Better to leave Christian Hackenberg on the waiver wire for now. ... In his time at Baylor, Art Briles' quarterbacks have been Robert Griffin III, Nick Florence, and Bryce Petty. Seth Russell seems like a safe bet. ... Corey Davis caught a touchdown pass in 11 of 12 games in 2014, and had at least 99 receiving yards nine times. ... The Auburn passing offense figures to be more potent with Jeremy Johnson under center, and no one will benefit more than D'haquille "Duke" Williams.

Halim's Take: It's difficult to bet against K.D. Cannon after he scored eight touchdowns on 1,030 receiving yards as a freshman. It helped that Bryce Petty was in the pocket feeding him, but a more-than-capable Seth Russell will still give him plenty of opportunities on a hungry Baylor team eager to reach the playoff.

Round 4

Pick By Player
1 Halim Nick Wilson (RB) ARIZ
2 Vigliotti Paul Perkins (RB) UCLA
3 Wilkins Royce Freeman (RB) ORE
4 Lou Derrick Henry (RB) BAMA
5 Holroyd JuJu Smith (WR) USC
6 Dickson Michael Thomas (WR) OSU
7 Cuthbert Donnel Pumphrey (RB) SDSU
8 Bottero Jarvion Franklin (RB) WMU
9 Srinivasan Artavis Scott (WR) CLEM
10 Murphy Pharoh Cooper (WR) SC

Royce Freeman flew under the radar as an elite freshman runner, but figures to take on a bigger role with Marcus Mariota gone. ... Another under-the-radar freshman runner who excelled is Jarvion Franklin. He ran for 1,551 yards and 24 touchdowns, with six three-touchdown games. ... The Head Ball Coach loves to chuck the ball down the field, and Pharoh Cooper, the best playmaker on the roster, figures to be targeted frequently.

Vigliotti's Take: If last season was any indication, UCLA running back Paul Perkins is poised for a mammoth year. As a junior in 2014, the versatile tailback racked up 1,575 rushing yards and nine touchdowns, tallying another two through the air.

Round 5

Pick By Player
1 Murphy Sterling Shepard (WR) OU
2 Srinivasan Kenny Lawler (WR) CAL
3 Bottero Tajae Sharpe (WR) UMASS
4 Cuthbert Jonnu Smith (TE) FIU
5 Dickson Jared Goff (QB) CAL
6 Holroyd William Fuller (WR) ND
7 Lou Victor Bolden (WR) ORST
8 Wilkins Evan Engram (TE) MISS
9 Vigliotti Hunter Henry (TE) ARK
10 Halim Connor Cook (QB) MSU

Oklahoma is implementing a spread offense under new offensive coordinator Lincoln Riley, and getting the ball into the hands of Sterling Shepard figures to be a top priority. ... It took a while for Kenny Lawler to work his way to the top of the depth chart in Santa Clara. Now that he's there, the sky's the limit. ... In the rich history of Notre Dame football, no player has ever hauled in more touchdowns than the 15 William Fuller caught in 2014.

Halim's Take: Connor Cook is coming off a season in which he threw for more than 3,200 yards and 24 touchdowns. Year over year, the Michigan State senior has only gotten better. He may not go down as the best fantasy quarterback in the Big Ten at the end of the season, but he has what it takes to compete with whoever emerges in Columbus.

Round 6

Pick By Player
1 Halim Shock Linwood (RB) BAY
2 Vigliotti Hunter Sharp (WR) USU
3 Wilkins Daniel Lasco (RB) CAL
4 Lou De'Mornay Pierson-El (WR) NEB
5 Holroyd Dom Williams (WR) WSU
6 Dickson Ohio State (DEF)
7 Cuthbert Aaron Green (RB) TCU
8 Bottero Cam Serigne (TE) WAKE
9 Srinivasan Bucky Hodges (TE) VT
10 Murphy Kenneth Farrow (RB) UH

The ball spends so much time in the air in Waco that it's easy to overlook the running game, but Shock Linwood is making the most of his opportunities. ... There haven't been many positives on the football field in Winston-Salem recently, but Cam Serigne was one of them as a true freshman in 2014. His role figures to expand this upcoming season.

Dickson's Take: The Buckeyes' defense returns a number of starters, including unanimous All-American Joey Bosa, arguably the best defender in the nation. Ohio State held high-powered Oregon to 20 points in the national title game, and with the Buckeyes facing some less-than-impressive Big Ten offenses in 2015, pulling them off the board was an easy call.

Round 7

Pick By Player
1 Murphy TCU (DEF)
2 Srinivasan Everett Golson (QB) FSU
3 Bottero Alabama (DEF)
4 Cuthbert Michigan State (DEF)
5 Dickson O.J. Howard (TE) BAMA
6 Holroyd Rodney Mills (TE) UMASS
7 Lou Steven Scheu (TE) VAND
8 Wilkins Ole Miss (DEF)
9 Vigliotti Missouri (DEF)
10 Halim Roberto Aguayo (K) FSU

Jimbo Fisher knows how to coach quarterbacks, and Everett Golson was among the best over the first half of last season. ... For those inclined to take a kicker off the board early, Roberto Aguayo's as reliable as they come.

Round 8

Pick By Player
1 Halim Florida State (DEF)
2 Vigliotti Vernon Adams (QB) ORE
3 Wilkins Laquon Treadwell (WR) MISS
4 Lou LSU (DEF)
5 Holroyd Stanford (DEF)
6 Dickson Jalen Hurd (RB) TENN
7 Cuthbert River Cracraft (WR) WSU
8 Bottero  D.J. Foster (WR) ASU
9 Srinivasan Penn State (DEF)
10 Murphy Standish Dobard (TE) MIA

There are some question marks surrounding Laquon Treadwell after the gruesome injury he suffered a year ago, but the talent's certainly there. ... D.J. Foster had a bit of trouble running against Pac-12 opponents a year ago, but he's totaled more than 600 yards through the air in back-to-back seasons, and will play receiver full-time in 2015.

Wilkins' Take: Treadwell may be flying under the radar after a severe leg/ankle injury ended his 2014 season, but he's still easily among the most talented players in the nation. A top NFL prospect, Treadwell should be the focus of the Ole Miss offense week in and week out.

Round 9

Pick By Player
1 Murphy Leonte Carroo (WR) RUT
2 Srinivasan Devonte Boyd (WR) UNLV
3 Bottero Jonathan Williams (RB) ARK
4 Cuthbert Luke Falk (QB) WSU
5 Dickson Byron Marshall (WR) ORE
6 Holroyd Mike Williams (WR) CLEM
7 Lou Garrett Schwettman (K) WKU
8 Wilkins Justin Jackson (RB) NW
9 Vigliotti Mitch Mathews (WR) BYU
10 Halim Josh Reynolds (WR) TXAM

Dickson's Take: Byron Marshall rushed for more than 1,000 yards as a sophomore two years ago. As a junior, he topped 1,000 yards again, this time as a receiver. His versatility and explosiveness are huge assets to the Ducks, though as a senior, he'll mostly be called upon to catch the ball. Still, finding a player with this much talent this late brings big value, and he'll be the go-to pass-catcher for whoever lines up under center in Eugene.

Round 10

Pick By Player
1 Halim Jake Roh (TE) BSU
2 Vigliotti Chris Callahan (K) BAY
3 Wilkins Sean Nuernberger (K) OSU
4 Lou Tyler Winston (WR) SJST
5 Holroyd Jaden Oberkrom (K) TCU
6 Dickson Casey Skowron (K) ARIZ
7 Cuthbert Ka'imi Fairbairn (K) UCLA
8 Bottero Andy Phillips (K) UTAH
9 Srinivasan Ross Martin (K) DUKE
10 Murphy Michael Tarbutt (K) UCONN
