Dzemal Hadziabdic's adventure in the Middle East isn't over, as the Iraqi Football Association appointed the 61-year-old as Iraq's new manager on Tuesday.

Hadziabdic, a native of Bosnia and Herzegovina who holds an extensive resume of managerial roles in Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, is commonly known as Jamal Haji, and is viewed as one of Swansea City's greatest-ever defenders despite only spending three years at the club.

One of his first orders of business will be to prepare Iraq for its 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign, which kicks off on Sept. 3 versus Chinese Taipei after its first qualifier was canceled due to FIFA's suspension of Indonesia.
