Matt Garza: (Shoulder) Placed On 15-Day DL

Garza (shoulder) was placed on the 15-day disabled list Monday.

Analysis:

Garza struggled in his recent starts, allowing four or more runs in each of his last five starts and raising his ERA to 5.55 on the season. Tyler Cravy will receive the start Tuesday in his place, while the Brewers added Corey Knebel to the 25-man roster in a corresponding move. With the All-Star break on tap, it's possible Garza will only miss one start if he's healthy enough to pitch again upon becoming eligible for activation.
