Holtby, Stepan, Nyquist among 23 players to file for salary arbitration

Washington Capitals goaltender Braden Holtby, New York Rangers forward Derek Stepan, and Detroit Red Wings winger Gustav Nyquist joined 20 others in filing for salary arbitration prior to Sunday's deadline.

Holtby posted a career-high 41 wins along with his best GAA (2.22) and save percentage (.923) since his rookie season in 2010-11.
Stepan registered 16 goals and 55 points, adding 12 points in 19 playoff games for the Rangers.
Nyquist recorded a career-high 54 points and scored 27 goals in his fourth season with the Red Wings.
The deadline to file for player-elected salary arbitration was Sunday at 5 p.m. ET.
