Analysis:

Though top prospect Joey Gallo is no longer patrolling the Rangers' outfield, the return of Josh Hamilton from a groin strain might block DeShields' path to regular at-bats. DeShields' exceptional speed should allow him to see some action off the bench most nights, but he may need either Hamilton or Leonys Martin to scuffle a bit before the opportunity to play more often presents itself.
