Analysis:

He'll now have started just two of five contests to begin the month of July, as Clint Barmes seems to be cutting into his playing time a bit. Amarista did show improvement at the plate in June, batting .293 on the month, but a .215 season average simply isn't enough to lock him in as the everyday shortstop.
