The Charlotte Hornets are reportedly looking to utilize free-agent guard Mo Williams in sign-and-trade scenarios, according to Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski.

Williams, who signed a one-year deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves last summer, before being traded to the Hornets in February, has been linked to both the Memphis Grizzlies and Cleveland Cavaliers in the early days of free agency.

While often chided for his shoot-first style of play, the veteran guard enjoyed a quietly productive season between Charlotte and Minnesota.

The 32-year-old averaged 14.2 points – his highest scoring average in five years – 6.2 assists, and 2.6 rebounds in 68 games. He also posted a career-high assist percentage of 37.4, although his effective field goal percentage of 46.6 was certainly a concern.
