The Vancouver Canucks have signed Blair Jones to a one-year contract.

Financial terms of the deal were not released.

Scott Cruickshank of the Calgary Herald reports that it's a two-way contract.

Jones, 28, spent last season in the Philadelphia Flyers organization, appearing in just four games in the NHL.

He played the majority of the season with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, earning 21 points and adding 46 penalty minutes in 33 games.

The former fourth-round draft pick has appeared in 132 games in his NHL career, tallying 17 points in the process.
