Flames sign Mason McDonlad, Hunter Smith to entry-level contracts

The Calgary Flames signed a couple of 2014 draft picks to entry-level deals Thursday.

The Flames inked goaltender Mason McDonald and forward Hunter Smith the team announced on it's official website, though terms were not disclosed.

McDonald spent last season with the QMJHL's Charlottetown Islanders, where he went 28-22-4 with a .906 save percentage and a 3.06 goals against average in 56 games.

Meanwhile Smith had 23 goals and 49 points in 57 games with the OHL's Oshawa Generals.
