Remember Larry Sanders? If not, look no further than Watts, Calif.

The 6-foot-11 center will play in the renowned Drew League this summer - a pro-am league founded in 1973 that has seen a host of NBA greats participate over the years.

Sanders, 26, played approximately four and half seasons in the NBA, all with the Milwaukee Bucks, after being selected with the 15th pick in the 2010 NBA Draft.

Midway through the 2014-15 season, he made the controversial decision to walk away from the sport, citing anxiety and depression as the reason for his unexpected departure.

Shortly after the Bucks waived him, Sanders released a video via the Players' Tribune, elaborating on his life, perspective, and future.

Known for his propensity for protecting the rim, Sanders has NBA career averages of 6.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks.
