Bas Dost is garnering plenty of attention following a season in which he led the Bundesliga in scoring with VfL Wolfsburg.

Wolfsburg, however, haven't come across an offer that meets their valuation of the striker and have asked interested teams to up the ante if they're serious about procuring the Dutch international.

Newcastle United and Borussia Dortmund have been linked with a move for the 26-year-old, but will likely turn their attention elsewhere after Wolfsburg sporting director Klaus Allofs revealed his £30-million asking price for Dost.

"I met with his agent last week and he did not tell me that Bas wants to leave," Allofs told German publication Wolfsburger Nachrichten, according to ESPNFC. "On the contrary, he feels fine at Wolfsburg."

Allofs used recent Liverpool signing Roberto Firmino as the benchmark for what he's looking for in a transfer after the Brazilian striker was lured away from the Bundesliga for a reported £29-million transfer fee.

"If I read about a transfer fee of €10-12 million for Bas Dost, I have to refer to the transfer of Roberto Firmino and say they will have to get used to different numbers if they really want to sign one of our players."

Dost led Wolfsburg with 16 goals through 21 appearances compared to Firmino's seven goals in 33 games.
