Washington Nationals (43-34) at Atlanta Braves (36-41), 7:10 p.m. (ET)

(SportsNetwork.com) - Doug Fister dominated the Atlanta Braves in his last start. He'll try to do that again on Wednesday when the Washington Nationals continue a three-game series with the Braves at Turner Field.

Fister scattered four hits over seven scoreless innings to the Braves on Thursday and improved to 3-3 with a 4.15 ERA. He's always had success against the Braves, going 4-1 with a 2.18 ERA in six starts.

"I wanted to push myself today, and (manager Matt Williams) let me go back out there in the seventh," Fister said. "That's huge for me, is being able to go back out there and prove to teammates and prove to myself that I can go out there and finish an inning. I hadn't done that this year, so that was a positive note for me personally. It takes a lot of plays in the outfield, plays in the infield, guys turning double plays early on in the game to enable me to do that."

Atlanta, meanwhile, turns to rookie right-hander Matt Wisler, who is 1-1 with a 3.75 ERA. After a strong debut, Wisler was banged around by Washington on Thursday to the tune of six runs (4 earned) and nine hits in just four innings.

"It's going to be a learning curve and I still have a long way to go," said Wisler. "Obviously I'm 22 and I still have a lot to learn. I've just got to watch this and learn from it. I'll think about it a little bit tonight, move on and get better."

On Tuesday, Jordan Zimmermann fired 7 2/3 scoreless innings and Washington rolled to a 6-1 win.

Zimmermann (6-5) struck out six and scattered six hits for the Nationals, who have won nine of their last 10 games. Clint Robinson smacked a two-run homer and Danny Espinosa went 3-for-5 with an RBI and two runs scored in the triumph.

Shelby Miller (5-4) punched out 10, but allowed five runs -- four earned -- on eight hits and three walks for Atlanta, which has dropped six of its last seven games. Juan Uribe homered in defeat.

"They got him early," Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez said. "It just wasn't a normal Shelby Miller outing."

Washington has won its last eight meetings with the Braves.
