Los Angeles Dodgers (44-35) at Arizona Diamondbacks (37-40), 9:40 p.m. (ET)

(SportsNetwork.com) - Brett Anderson and the Los Angeles Dodgers try to secure a series victory on Wednesday night as they visit the Arizona Diamondbacks for the finale of a three-game series.

Anderson has been excellent in his first season with Los Angeles, going 4-4 with a 3.13 earned run average thanks to consecutive winning starts. He has allowed two or fewer runs in nine of his last 11 starts and is coming off a 7-1 win over Miami. The lefty yielded just one run on five hits and a walk while striking out a season-high 10 batters in that Friday outing.

Anderson is looking for his first career victory over the Diamondbacks, having gone 0-1 with a 3.91 ERA in four previous meetings.

Robbie Ray will start tonight for the Diamondbacks having posted a loss in back-to-back outings.

Ray hurled seven scoreless frames to beat the Los Angeles Angels on June 15, but followed up with a pair of losses to San Diego. He allowed a total of seven runs -- five earned -- over 11 2/3 innings, striking out 12 to just two walks.

The 23-year-old southpaw is 2-3 on the year with a 1.98 ERA and lost his first career start against the Dodgers on June 9. He yielded a pair of runs over 6 2/3 innings, but on four hits and four walks.

The Dodgers drew even in this series with last night's 6-4 victory in 10 innings. Howie Kendrick led off the top of the 10th inning with a home run to put the finishing touches on a 4-for-5 effort at the plate and Yasmani Grandal added a pair of insurance runs later in the frame with a double.

"First of all, he's a good hitter," D-backs manager Chip Hale said of Kendrick. "He's been in the big leagues for a long time. He's good in the clutch."

Grandal homered earlier in the game for the second time in as many nights and he and Kendrick combined for six hits and six RBI to help the Dodgers win for the fifth time in seven games.

Joel Peralta, who was one of four Dodgers relievers to give up at least two runs in a 10-6 loss on Monday, tossed a scoreless ninth to earn the win. Paul Goldschmidt doubled in a run in the bottom of the 10th, but Kenley Jansen settled down after that and struck out Yasmany Tomas to record his 12th save.

Nick Ahmed also homered for a second game in a row, but the Diamondbacks lost for the fourth time in six games.

Arizona had snapped a seven-game slide versus Los Angeles with Monday's series-opening victory.
