Martin Jones: Traded To Sharks

Jones was traded to the Sharks on Tuesday in exchange for a 2016 first-round pick and prospect Sean Kuraly, NHL.com reports.

Analysis:

Jones, who spent last season with the Kings, was acquired by the Bruins just four days ago. He'll now head back to the West Coast, and should be given the chance to push Alex Stalock for the top goalie job in San Jose. Jones appeared in 15 games as the backup to Jonathan Quick with the Kings in 2014-15, going 4-5-2 with a 2.25 GAA and .906 save percentage. The 25-year-old has been even more dominant at times than those numbers suggest, as he's already compiled seven shutouts in 34 career matches.
