Blackhawks extend goaltender Michael Leighton on 1-year deal

The Chicago Blackhawks have signed third-string goalie Michael Leighton to a one-year extension.
A veteran of 105 NHL starts, Leighton posted a 22-13-4 record with a .920 save percentage with the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs last season.
Leighton was the goaltender of record for the Philadelphia Flyers in Game 6 of the 2010 Stanley Cup Final, when Chicago snapped its 49-year championship drought and began this proliferation of Cups.
