Ryan will likely move out of the pocket more often under new offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan, USA Today reports.

Analysis:

Ryan put up consistently strong numbers while working with former offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter the past three years, throwing for 4,500-plus yards and 26-plus touchdowns in each season. The Falcons hope to have a more balanced attack under Shanahan, whose offenses have typically been quite successful running the ball. Of course, the run-pass ratio is largely a product of game situations, and the Falcons' personnel still points toward a pass-first offense. The team returns the potent wide receiver duo of Julio Jones and Roddy White, but there are no shortage of questions along the offensive line and throughout the defense.
