AFC outlasts NFC in thrilling Family Feud finish

Aaron Hunger / USA TODAY Sports

In a showdown that will no doubt be talked about for years to come, NFL stars took to the stage for an episode of Celebrity Family Feud on Sunday night.

Both conferences were well represented.

Pittsburgh Steelers receiver Antonio Brown, New York Jets center Nick Mangold, Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs, San Diego Chargers tight end Antonio Gates, and Denver Broncos pass rusher DeMarcus Ware took part for the AFC.

Meanwhile, the NFC had San Francisco 49ers tight end Vernon Davis, Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy, Arizona Cardinals defensive end Calais Campbell, Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte, and Carolina Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis on their squad.

It was a heated battle, until Davis turned the mood into an awkward and confusing one. The 49ers tight end is a two-time Pro Bowler and an accomplished artist, but a good Family Feud player he is not.

"If you're good at reading body language what part of a woman speaks the loudest" and Vernon Davis says what?! WTF? Lol. #49ers

This stunning response swung the momentum in the AFC's favor, and in what some are calling the greatest upset in Celebrity Family Feud history, Mangold and Suggs put an exclamation point on the victory.

In the Fast Money round, Suggs gave Mangold a decent 98 points to work with. The Jets center sealed it with his answer of Police Car on the final question, which was to name a vehicle that's allowed to speed.

Thanks to their win, the AFC captured $25,000 that will be donated to the St. Jude's Children's Research Center.

Can we just replace the Pro Bowl with this next year?
