Michael Beasley's option will not be picked up, thus he'll become an unrestricted free agent, the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Beasley will be an unrestricted free agent this summer after the Heat declined their team option on him for next season, the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Analysis:

Beasley played in just 24 games with the Heat last season, averaging 8.8 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.3 assists over 21 minutes per game. With the Heat opting to let Beasley walk, he'll now be free to sign with whatever team shows interest after the start of free agency on July 1. Beasley should see some interest on the open market, but he'll likely remain a situational option in fantasy leagues regardless of where he signs, and there's a good chance the NBA has exhausted their patience with Beasley. It wouldn't be surprising to see him sign a contract overseas for next season.
