Wild, Dubnyk agree on 6-year extension

St. Paul, MN (SportsNetwork.com) - The Minnesota Wild and goaltender Devan Dubnyk agreed to terms on a six-year contract extension, the team announced Saturday.

The contract is worth $26 million, according to TSN Canada.

The 29-year-old Dubnyk, who was set to become an unrestricted free agent July 1, was a Vezina finalist this past season after going 27-9-2 with a 1.78 goals-against average and .936 save percentage in 39 games since coming over from the Coyotes in a January trade.

Since being selected 14th overall by the Oilers in the 2004 draft, Dubnyk has compiled a 97-91-26 record with a 2.69 GAA and .914 save percentage over 231 games spanning six seasons with the Oilers, Predators, Coyotes and Wild.
