Trading Wisniewski, who failed to crack the postseason lineup, will provide the Ducks with significant cap relief, but also provides Anaheim with three NHL-ready goaltenders with Frederik Andersen and John Gibson.
Meanwhile, Carolina lands another piece on the blue line to complement fifth-overall selection Noah Hanifin.
Just talked to James Wisniewski about the trade to Canes. "I'm speechless. I'm so excited. I wish the season was starting next week."
