Myles Turner: Drafted 11th by Pacers

Turner was selected by the Pacers with the 11th pick in the 2015 NBA Draft.

Analysis:

Turner played just one season at Texas, averaging 10.1 points and 6.5 rebounds while shooting 46 percent from the floor. While he's not an elite athlete, he moves well for his size and already has a solid NBA frame. The reigning Big 12 Freshman of the Year is most comfortable near the basket, but he's capable of drifting out to the perimeter and projects as a stretch-four type once his jumper develops. Turner shot just 27 percent from beyond the arc last season, but his mechanics are solid, and more seasoning at the pro level should help expand his offensive game. He enters a situation in Indiana where he'll likely have a chance to contribute immediately. The Pacers have not been shy in their quest to move Roy Hibbert, which would conceivably free up the starting center position. David West is also expected to depart in free agency this offseason, so Turner should have no trouble finding minutes as a rookie. The question is whether his game will be developed to the point that his workload will translate to positive fantasy value.
