Martin was drafted by the Grizzlies with the 25th pick in the 2015 NBA Draft.

Analysis:

Martin has the prototypical size and athleticism of an NBA four, at 6-9 and a solid 235 pounds. He averaged 16.9 points and 9.2 boards per game as a sophomore at LSU, and likely improved his standing on draft boards with strong showings against tough frontcourts from Kentucky and NC State. He runs the floor well and is regarded as a good finisher who could do well running the pick and roll in a pro offense. But his defense will need to improve, as will his shooting range after he shot 27 percent from three last season.
