Bucs' Mike Evans working with Randy Moss this offseason

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans has been getting some one-on-one lessons from Randy Moss in preparation for his second NFL season.

Evans said Moss approached him about potentially working together after the Bucs' 27-7 victory over the Washington Redskins last season. In that game, Evans became the first rookie receiver with three consecutive games of 100 receiving yards and one touchdown since Moss in 1998.

"After the Washington Redskins game last year I did an interview with FOX Sports, who he (Moss) worked for," Evans told the team's official website. "I told him that I watched a documentary on him before we played Washington and I did his touchdown celebration. He hit me up on Twitter, he followed me and I followed him back.

"A couple months later he hit me up again and I couldn't say no, so I went up there and worked out with him for a week."

There are a lot of similarities between Evans and Moss. Both are big-bodied receivers who enjoyed successful rookie campaigns; Evans broke the Bucs' single-season record for receiving touchdowns as a rookie with 12 and Moss set the NFL single-season rookie record with 17 touchdown receptions.

"I think he's the best to ever do it," Evans said of Moss. "Working with him, I think it will take my game to the next level."
