Brazil will appeal Neymar's 4-match ban
Neymar may yet play further part at the Copa America.
The Brazilian football federation (CBF) will appeal CONMEBOL's decision to hit the Selecao captain with a four-match ban that rules him out for the remainder of the tournament.
Speaking at a press conference, manager Dunga said the confederation's "legal department will file a counterpoint to Neymar's sanction.
"We don't want anything in favour or against, just what's fair."
In addition to the four-match suspension, Neymar was also fined $10,000 for his actions following the final whistle in Brazil's 1-0 loss to Colombia earlier this week.
ESPN FC has more details:
Neymar kicked a ball at Colombian defender Pablo Armero at the tail end of Brazil's loss to the 2014 World Cup quarter-finalists. As Armero dramatically rolled around on the ground, Colombia's Jeison Murillo confronted Neymar, who then attempted to head-butt the defender, sparking a melee ...
According to the referee's report, Neymar then waited in the tunnel to the team's dressing room for match official Enrique Osses and verbally abused him - an act, upon review, that saw his suspension increased on Friday.
Brazil play their final group match against Venezuela on Sunday, and need a victory to assure themselves of a place in the knockout stages - and a chance for Neymar to return at some point in the tournament, should his ban be lessened.
