Juventus manager Allegri confirms Mandzukic signing: 'I'm delighted about his arrival'
Mario Mandzukic is indeed on his way to Juventus.
Massimiliano Allegri, speaking to Sky Sport Italia with regards to Thursday's widespread reports claiming the Italian champions had agreed to a deal with Atletico Madrid for the 29-year-old striker, confirmed that Mandzukic's move to the Bianconeri is imminent.
"He's a player who has scored goals in every league he's played in," Allegri said, as translated by ESPN FC. "He's got character, is an internationally experienced player and he's going to do well in Italy. We've signed him because we wanted him. He's a great player and I'm delighted about his arrival."
An official announcement is expected at some point next week, and would be the third deal completed by Juventus this summer following the arrivals of Paulo Dybala and Sami Khedira.
