LSU defensive tackle Trey Lealaimatafao was arrested for simple battery and simple robbery Thursday following a fight in the parking lot of a bar in Baton Rouge, according to police booking records obtained by The Advocate.

Police records indicate that Lealaimatafao dug through the pockets of a male who had been beaten unconscious by other unknown suspects, then punched the victim's girlfriend in the face when she attempted to interfere.

The university was quick to respond, as team spokesman Michael Bonnette announced that Lealaimatafao has been indefinitely suspended from the football team.

A redshirt freshman, Lealaimatafao came to Baton Rouge as a four-star member of the 2014 recruiting class.
