It didn't seem like Bubba Watson could become any more frustrated than he was after this failed chip in the 10th hole bunker at the U.S. Open, but at the 18th, the two-time Masters champion couldn't hold in his anger any longer.

"This is pathetic professional golf," Watson let out following his approach shot on his final hole Thursday.

Sports Illustrated golf contributor Stephanie Wei tweeted that he denied media requests, upsetting fans who were hoping for a colorful post-round interview.

Instead, Watson went into the clubhouse with a colorful scorecard, putting up five birdies along with a bogey and a pair of double bogeys to finish at even par.

Watson has since addressed the shot, telling Jim McCabe of Golfweek.com he was not upset about the pace of play as many speculated. Watson claims he was angered by his own shot-making.

"I hit a terrible shot. I knew exactly where it was (short, left of the 18th green)," Watson said. "I knew that I was dead. I don't want a 30-footer for birdie when I’m going for a par-5 in two."
