Giants' Coughlin doesn't expect Cruz to start training camp on PUP list

The New York Giants could see the return of a familiar face come Week 1 of the 2015 season.

After suffering a torn patellar tendon that cost him the majority of 2014, receiver Victor Cruz was believed to be a lock to start this year on the PUP list. However, a solid recovery has New York believing its star wideout will be with the team in training camp.

Cruz supported Coughlin's belief when speaking with reporters on Thursday.

The Giants' passing game survived well without Cruz last season, thanks to the emergence of Odell Beckham Jr. A healthy Cruz should only improve things offensively, and give Beckham Jr. more space to work with by occupying additional coverage across the field.
