Devon Travis, hitless in his first two rehab games for Double-A New Hampshire, is still getting his timing down at the plate after missing most of the last four weeks with inflammation in his left shoulder.

Still, the 24-year-old second baseman could be back in the Toronto Blue Jays' lineup within the next week, according to manager John Gibbons.

"He felt pretty good but he has been out a while now, so he's going to need some games," Gibbons told MLB.com's Gregor Chisholm. "Maybe some time this weekend or the beginning of next week, I would think."

Travis, who managed an .833 OPS with seven home runs through his first 36 games with Toronto, landed on the disabled list May 17 after playing through discomfort in his shoulder for weeks. Though he began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Buffalo on May 29, Travis appeared in just one game before the pain resurfaced, forcing the Blue Jays to shut him down.
