Jackson Martinez has decided against a move to the Premier League, choosing to take his talents to Italy instead.

FC Porto president Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa confirmed that the club has a deal in place that will see the Colombian striker join AC Milan.

Jackson, who informed the team at the conclusion of the season that he would be leaving, had been linked with a move to England, with Arsenal among the teams rumoured as a possible destination.

Instead, he appears to be on the brink of a €35-million move to Milan, where he will attempt to return the club to glory.

"The €35-million clause is not up for debate and must be paid. I learned just now that Jackson has chosen Milan," Da Costa told Canal, courtesy of ESPNFC.

"This is what he wants, the destination is irrelevant as far as I am concerned. I want him to be happy."

The 28-year-old should star in the Milan attack after collecting 21 goals through 30 league matches, including seven goals in the Champions League.
