Lightning's Cooper: 'Bishop is going to play again' in Stanley Cup Final
Most of the hockey world was shocked when Andrei Vasilevskiy led the Tampa Bay Lightning on to the ice Wednesday, but head coach Jon Cooper insists we haven't seen the last of Ben Bishop.
"Bishop is going to play again this series, I just don't know which game yet," Cooper told reporters.
After speculation rose about the health of the team's No. 1 netminder back in Game 2 following the goalie's exit from the game, Bishop was a scratch for Game 4.
Though Bishop's condition is still a mystery, Cooper admits he was pleasantly surprised by the relief effort of Vasilevskiy.
"You tell me coming in he's only going to give up two goals, that's a hell of a job in my book," Cooper said.
Cooper has refrained from giving an update on Bishop's condition since Game 2, but whatever he is ailing from will have four days to heal with Game 5 going Saturday.
