VIDEO: John Oliver calls out Jack Warner on Trinidad television
John Oliver got his chance to speak to a nation, and it was glorious.
Inspired by Jack Warner, the host of HBO's "Last Week Tonight" appeared on Trinidad and Tobago's Channel 6 to speak with the country and ask the disgraced former FIFA vice-president to spill the beans on his supposed wealth of evidence against outgoing FIFA president Sepp Blatter, and other incriminating activities within the governing body.
Oliver's public message, "The Mittens of Disapproval Are On," was filmed at the show's studio and primarily featured Oliver requesting that Warner tell the world about the revelations he threatened to reveal when he addressed the nation a week earlier during a segment called "Jack Warner: The gloves are off."
Oliver's attempt at Trinidadian patois is worth the watch alone:
