Alex Albon: Disqualified at Melbourne

Albon has been disqualified from the results of qualifying for the Australian Grand Prix, after his Williams team were unable to provide the FIA with a sufficient fuel sample from his FW44, Formula1.com reports.

Analysis:

It's been a tough weekend already for the Williams Racing team, but things got even worse during and after qualifying. Albon's machine would stop on track during Q1. Per F1 rules the team was to provide a 1.0-litre fuel sample to the sanctioning body, but was unable to do so. As a result, Albon will forfeit his 16th-spot qualifying run and start Sunday's grand prix from the rear of the field.
