Analysis:
Irving, who is dealing with both foot and knee issues, has benefited from a week off after the Eastern Conference Finals, but his recovery has been slow-moving, according to coach David Blatt. "I wouldn't say he's had a setback," Blatt said, "but progress has been slow." Irving, himself, said he won't be 100 percent "unless something miraculous happens," so it appears as though he's prepared to play with limitations. It's unclear whether those limitations will result in a minutes limit, but considering he was still effective in Game 4 against Atlanta, scoring 16 points to go with five assists in 22 minutes, Irving will likely play as much as his body allows. "Whatever we can get out of him," LeBron James said when asked about Irving's status. "I think he's preparing to play Game 1. Whatever we can get out of him is a plus for us."
