Washington Redskins tight end Jordan Reed underwent a "little procedure" on his knee and is expected to be sidelined until training camp, head coach Jay Gruden said Monday.
Reed had his knee checked out by doctors after complaining of soreness during organized team activities last week.
The 24-year-old has missed 12 games over the past two seasons because of concussion and hamstring issues, so the Redskins are likely taking extreme caution with this latest setback.
