Report: Penguins' Letang cleared to start training 'with intensity'
Russell LaBounty / USA Today
Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Kris Letang reportedly got some good news Sunday.
Letang has been cleared to begin training with intensity, TVA's Renaud Lavoie reports.
The blue-liner is recovering after suffering a concussion on a hit by Arizona Coyotes forward Shane Doan in March.
Earlier this month, Letang said he was making progress and that the goal was to be ready for training camp in the fall.
He was limited to 69 regular-season games but registered 54 points. He did not appear in the playoffs.
