Lima, Breese emerge victorious on UFC Fight Night 67 Fight Pass Prelims
Juliana Lima def. Ericka Almeida via unanimous decision
Juliana Lima embraces the grind.
For much of her bout with Ericka Almeida on Saturday night, Lima, a savvy veteran, was more or less content to hang out in her opponent's guard and land steady, unspectacular ground-and-pound.
Lima started the first and second rounds rushing headlong into a giant Almeida punch, only to immediately shrug it off and bring the bout to the mat. Once there, she stayed busy with elbows and punches on top.
The two women spent most of the third round trading heavy shots on the feet, until Lima smartly reverted to her earlier strategy of dragging Almeida to the mat and controlling her with the occasional punch to the face.
It wasn't the most thrilling performance for Lima, but it was unquestionably a dominant one.
Juliana Lima is the (insert unpopular male grinder) of the women’s strawweight division.

Tom Breese def. Luiz Dutra via first-round TKO
In the curtain-jerker at UFC Fight Night 67, Tom Breese pulled off as close to a buzzer beater as you'll see in MMA.
Following a relatively even first round where Breeze thumped Luiz Dutra with leg kicks and knees to the body, the lanky Englishman flattened Dutra with a stinging straight left, and followed it up with a violent flurry on the floor.
After a torrent of punches and hammerfists, referee Fernando Yamasaki waved off the fight with two seconds left in the opening frame.
A sterling UFC debut for The Octopus.
I'm pretty high on Tom Breese. He's huge at 6'3 and a good athlete, a potent grappler, and has a lot of snap on his strikes. #UFCGoiania
