Bills awarded Matt Simms off waivers, cut Jeff Tuel

The Buffalo Bills made some changes to their quarterback depth on Friday.
Buffalo was awarded Matt Simms off waivers, allowing them to cut Jeff Tuel, according to Aaron Wilson of The Baltimore Sun.
Tuel last suited up with the Bills in 2013, producing calamitous results. The 24-year-old threw one touchdown against three interceptions, completing an abysmal 44 percent of his passes.
Simms was waived by the New York Jets on Thursday. The 26-year-old also produced an identical statline to Tuel's 2013 campaign, completing 1-of-3 passes in 2014, with a 37.5 percent completion rate.
The Bills haven't named their starter and Simms joins a group of EJ Manuel, Matt Cassel, and Tyrod Taylor that are all vying for the role.
