While most CFL teams have spent the past few weeks signing their 2015 draft selections, the Montreal Alouettes have been able to do the same with all but one player: defensive back Chris Ackie.

Ackie, the fourth overall selection in the CFL's most recent draft, is currently stuck amid a rift between general manager Jim Popp and his agent Johnathon Hardaway, as reported by Herb Zurkowsky of the Montreal Gazette.

"We’ve pretty much gone as far as we can from our end. Either he shows up or whatever they want to do," general manager Jim Popp told Zurkowsky. "We can’t do any more."

Ackie simply hopes a balanced deal will be finalized relatively soon so he can begin working with his new team.

"I obviously want to be at camp. It hurts waiting around at home. I continue to train and I’m already packed,” said Ackie.

"I’m hopeful and optimistic a deal – a fair deal – will be reached soon."
