The CFL recently released their 2015 schedule. Here are some dates to take note of:

Thursday, June 25

The first game of the season features a clash between the Ottawa RedBlacks and Montreal Alouettes, hosted by Montreal. This game will be iconic simply because it could potentially feature Michael Sam, who would be the first openly gay player to compete in the CFL.

Friday, June 26

Week 1 features a rematch of the 102nd Grey Cup, between the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Calgary Stampeders. The championship matchup went down to the final minute, after Hamilton crawled their way back into the game, almost stealing a victory with 40 seconds left. The Stamps won the game 20-16.

Sunday, July 26

The Ti-Cats and Saskatchewan Roughriders also meet early in the season, in a rematch of the 101st Grey Cup, when the Riders hoisted the trophy.

Sunday, August 30

Although neither team made the playoffs last year, a game between the RedBlacks and Toronto Argonauts featuring veteran quarterbacks Ricky Ray and Henry Burris, respectively, is always exciting.

Labour Day weekend (September 3-7)

Labour Day weekend will feature matches between the B.C. Lions and Alouettes, Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the Roughriders, Toronto at Hamilton, and the annual turf war between the Edmonton Eskimos and Stampeders, at McMahon Stadium.
