Sloppy weather and a historic result helped produce captivating images from the 140th running of the Preakness Stakes. And somehow, the fan known as the "Marlins Man" once again found himself front and center of it all.

Laurence Leavy, the Miami Marlins superfan who gained notoriety last fall when he photo-bombed the World Series on a nightly basis, was spotted in several finish-line pictures wearing his trademark sideways visor and team jacket as American Pharoah crossed the finish line.

The Marlins season-ticket holder told the Miami Herald in October that he's been to 27 Super Bowls, more than 200 NBA playoff games and at least 85 World Series games. He can now add the Preakness to the impressive list of major sports events he's crashed.

American Pharoah became the 35th Kentucky Derby winner to capture the second leg of the Triple Crown after overcoming challenging weather conditions to secure the dominating victory.
